I am having this problem with a movie I burnt to a dvd. when playing it on a home dvd player its freezing for about 3 seconds at a time, now its just over halfway through and its frozen and wont continue

I converted the movie with ConvertXtoDVD as it was a .mkv file then i burnt it to a DVD-R Verbatim ones so should be best using Ashampoo I have had this happen a lot with movies lately so annoying as cant understand why

can anyone recommend a better convert program and burning program, as I cant understand why they do that

I would click 'Yes', assuming that NTSC playback isn't a problem for you. Converting NTSC to PAL sometimes yields a quality loss.

You obviously have problems decoding mkv files
Do these files actually play on your pc, have you watched these movies all the way thru,?
I suspect they is something wrong with these files
Have you used media info, on these files, do that and post the results here as text in your post
