I've recently installed Windows XP on my computer. Following this I needed to install a new driver for my capture card. Now, having done that I went into both virtualdub and AVI_IO and come up with an error on either if i try to make the vertical resolution bigger than 288 (one pal field). I've also noticed that it will only work in overlay mode not preview.
If it's of any help the card is a Swann Ezycapture which uses a BT868 chipset.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
Thanks Andy

unless i am mistaken winxp uses WDM drivers like win200, virtualdub and avi_io work with VFW drivers(win98, 98SE, etc.) you can get a wrapper that tricks virtualdub or avi_io into using the WDM drivers.....but i have heard that it degrades quailty. You could use IuVCR which i hear is great for capturing with WDM drivers. hope this makes sense and helps you out
