  1. I have the Sony Cyber Shot DSC RX III and when I download a video file in 4k, VLC and WMP won't play it. I downloaded MPC-HC x64 and the video plays fine, but the audio freezes at certain points during the playback. MPC-HC x64 is the best player I have found to at least play video files. In addition, my CPU is at 100% during the playback. I am using Toshiba Tecra Z40, 14" screen, Windows 7 Pro, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, and a solid state 256 GB hard drive. I am using DirectX 11 and all drivers are updated.

Is there a setting I can change to fix the audio problem? Should I try downloading MPC-HC.1.7.10.28.x64.VS2015 Beta version because its newer? Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

The audio issue is very likely directly related to the cpu. When the cpu is maxed, audio is one of the first subsystems to start dropping.

    The fix, is faster hardware.
