  1. I am trying to use Livestreamer in conjunction with VLC Media Player to record a video streamed using F4M. Here is the video in question, and this is the command I am using (URLs extracted using Firebug):

    Code:
    livestreamer --http-header "Referer=http://cdnapisec.kaltura.com/html5/html5lib/v2.35.6/modules/EmbedPlayer/binPlayers/kaltura-player/kdp3.swf" "hds://https://cfvod.kaltura.com/scf/hds/p/1810111/sp/181011100/serveFlavor/entryId/0_ztr52d8k/v/2/flavorId/0_,dvkgegjo,bga5iiid,h5ahskdo,eyl2a5zu,0qg1vfjn,sevvsbil,/forceproxy/true/name/a.mp4.urlset/manifest.f4m?Policy=eyJTdGF0ZW1lbnQiOlt7IlJlc291cmNlIjoiaHR0cHM6Ly9jZnZvZC5rYWx0dXJhLmNvbS9zY2YvaGRzL3AvMTgxMDExMS9zcC8xODEwMTExMDAvc2VydmVGbGF2b3IvZW50cnlJZC8wX3p0cjUyZDhrL3YvMi9mbGF2b3JJZC8wXyoiLCJDb25kaXRpb24iOnsiRGF0ZUxlc3NUaGFuIjp7IkFXUzpFcG9jaFRpbWUiOjE0NDYwODE1MTN9fX1dfQ__&Signature=GyO4Qn-~LkQWrxA4zr75BsGT1ZlPoSBynz4Ww6MjmPpLIbTbnyhCBjZoNfF3qbMdDD74aY6OHr9IgGareXLU6wxY5sPrM9dzuVA1AjudxGCm0YEoqRxRLKO3Opgs08vj89~3JnxWhS6f3vaDA1oW3SgRzJon4-c1TYnQRXCfkmGz7p4YeVsZhYleCG8ZspBHOHbJuGT2VoqX6WGD8kZSO2-jvGPApHETOHhV2uY7eqAU9kBQI1Wf2yCEgzBTnPlK3HBkPTuRhg896DyWsBt5XNcJPcfVhzTqmUkDjT5-4EViPNnCDThuKrjv99HDGZqhiXiT8gd1VUjEpgpEJSSDLw__&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJT6QIWSKVYK3V34A" best -o stats.flv
Whenever I issue this command, the console is filled with the following error (different fragments, but same error):

    Code:
[stream.hds][error] Failed to open fragment 1-64: Unable to open URL: https://cfvod.kaltura.com/scf/hds/p/1810111/sp/181011100/serveFlavor/entryId/0_ztr52d8k/v/2/flavorId/0_,dvkgegjo,bga5iiid,h5ahskdo,eyl2a5zu,0qg1vfjn,sevvsbil,/forceproxy/true/name/a.mp4.urlset/frag-f6-v1-a1-Seg1-Frag64 (403 Client Error: Forbidden)
What can I do to fix this? It was my understanding that streaming through that using that FLV, which is the video player, as the referrer would resolve the problem, but since it has not, what do I do?

Note: The f4m link expires after a certain period, at which point the link will no longer produce this error but will rather fail to find a stream.

Read this thread on the forum here.

For your example video, the result video url is
    Code:
    http://cfvod.kaltura.com/p/1810111/sp/181011100/serveFlavor/entryId/0_ztr52d8k/v/2/flavorId/0_sevvsbil/forceproxy/true/name/a.mp4

If you don't understand the steps, you can just take the f4m url that you find and edit it directly.

    If you find this
    Code:
    https://cfvod.kaltura.com/scf/hds/p/1810111/sp/181011100/serveFlavor/entryId/0_ztr52d8k/v/2/flavorId/0_,dvkgegjo,bga5iiid,h5ahskdo,eyl2a5zu,0qg1vfjn,sevvsbil,/forceproxy/true/name/a.mp4.urlset/manifest.f4m
You can edit it to this
    Code:
    http://cfvod.kaltura.com/p/1810111/sp/181011100/serveFlavor/entryId/0_ztr52d8k/v/2/flavorId/0_sevvsbil/forceproxy/true/name/a.mp4
