I have a video which will play on Quicktime. I want to edit the file so that it will play on any DVD player. TEncoder displays various parameters, which I will post if need be. This conversion might even be done in TEncoder itself, but the output parameters are as plentiful as the input ones. The video in question is a private production, so there is no copyright violation.

    Thank you for your help!

editing: remove unwanted scenes or frames

trans-coding/converting: changing the file in question to another format

DVD 720*480, aspect 16:9 wide screen, or 4:3 old analog display
bitrate anything from 2000>8000, usually the higher the better
DVD holds about 4.3 Gig of data approx 2hrs ... varies with bitrate

    best bet
is download the FREE avs2dvd dvd authoring program
    open/load your file in avs2dvd
it you choose NSTC aka USA or PAL aka Europe and it will it set the bitrate and convert for you
you can choose DVD folder ouput
    or
DVD ISO file ready to burn to disc

use ImageBurn to write the disc,,,also free
