I am using MakeKMV to rip some of my DVD collection to my network drive that is connected to my TV, most discs convert well but a few usually 16:9 films, end up really small on the TV screen with a thick black border around the image, are there any settings in MakeMKV to correct this, or do I have to convert the video file to another screen size......?

  2. Since MakeMKV copies and doesn't reencode, the issue is most likely 4:3 files with letterboxed 16:9 images. You can remove the letterboxing and reencode in another program, or just use the zoom control on your player.

Handbrake seems to be the best option, but Im not experienced in using it to make adjustments, how do I set Handbrake to adjust the screen size to 16:9.....so that it looks a good fit on my TV, I do realise I can "zoom" in on the TV but id rather convert the original video file to play in the correct size.
