I have a craving now to get a full frame camera and decided I may as well save up for a 6D. I was going to get a cheap 5D original but then I have been getting into video alot recently and want to be able to make fairly decent videos in the style of short films etc. Cinema looking videos for want of a better term. I have the K50 and find the video is fairly good but have heard rave reviews of people making indie films with the 7D, 5D 2,3 etc so was thinking of getting one to join in on the fun. Just wondering would it be much of an upgrade and in what way. I have a decent "Limited" lens for the K50. I know the lens plays an important part! Thanks

only the newer 70D has a worthwhile autofocus if you are looking to do a lot of video and need it. and yes decent lenses will cost you more than the camera body. the 5d3 is nice in that you can shoot 14bit raw video instead of mp4 at 1920x1080 with it's faster cf memory. the 70D and 6D use sd memory and are limited to 40MB/s so 720p raw is just barely possible.
