    What is the minimum size of SSD (in GB) required for downloading and burning to DVD a typical two-hour movie? I'll be using MX Linux on this SSD, which I think is about 3 GB in size, so I'll add this to your answer. Thanks.

    Why do you want an SSD? It is not required to do what you need.

    9GB which is more space than on a DVD-9

    But as asked above, why? The smallest SSD I've ever seen (and used) was a really old 8GB one I used on an old Dell laptop.

    Edit: For anyone that would ask me why? It was to create portable MAME machine to play old arcade games when the largest Android tablet screen size was 7". My laptop is 14 or 15". I put a minimal XP install on the SSD (IDE BTW) and [used] a flash drive for the MAME files.
