Fairly often I've seen illustrations here and on other websites where some image, page, or diagram has been marked up to point out something, often in the course of a "How To" type post.

    For example: http://www.7tutorials.com/files/img/taskbar_folders/tkbs6.png

(The mark-up may include some superimposed text.)

What do you use or recommend for this ? I imagine there must be some drawing app(s) that have been bundled with Windows, going way back. I would prefer something that is quite simple to use -- fancy drawing capabilities are not required.

Though I prefer Photoshop, or at least something with layers (and hopefully vector tools, too) - for the additional ease of re-editing -, literally ANY/EVERY paint/photo app ought to be able to do this, incl. MS PAINT.

O.K., thanks. The link had worked when I tested it, perhaps because my browser had just accessed the parent article . . . .

    And thanks to Scott also.
