    Hello,

I'm outputting an MPEG2 1080p 25fps video using a software called 'OnTheAirVideo' (http://www.softron.tv/products/ontheairvideo.html) which outputs video to a TV display. However, there are two colour space options in the software, ARGB and YUV colour space. I'm not sure which one to use.

I used After Effects and AME for this clip.

Here are the video settings of the clip:

  2. Your source is YUV, likely wiht 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. What shows up on the TV screen is RGB. One way or another the YUV source will be converted to RGB, either by the computer or by the TV. There should be little difference unless one of them is handling the video incorrectly. If your TV has a 10 bit panel you may get better gradients with YUV.

Yeah, did some test and saw no real difference in colour.
