Hi i have 100s of video files from hols etc and I want an easy way to combine say a dozen files into a single file according to date as a batch file or similar.

    E.g

If I have a folder with 10 files taken on 1/1/15. And 15 files on 2/1/15 and 6 files on 3/1/15. I would want to end up with 3 files - one for each date?

Any ideas best way to do this?

If these files have identical video and audio codec properties, I would just copy them to a new folder(one date at a time), rename them 0001, 0002, 0003, etc etc etc then run them through a video joiner.

thanks for the reply . . . yes identical video and audio codec properties

I could do but I was looking to automate it via a program where I drag the multiple folders into it and each folder will end up having the dingle combined file in it.

at moment at doing it one folder at a time and takes too long.

  4. Perhaps a batch job along these lines

    - and perhaps tell OS and filenames ie when alphabetically sorted they are also in date order.
