I can't get DVD Decrypter to install on Windows 8.1. It would install on prior 8.1 installs so I'm guessing some update is causing the problem. It says it can't find DVDDecrypter.exe?

  2. DVD Decrypter works as a portable application. Install it on some other computer then drag the folder to the new computer and make a shortcut to the EXE.

dvd decrypter won't work on newer movies. you need to use a more up to date decrypter
    like dvdfab.

That comment should probably be "dvd decrypter won't work on SOME newer movies." It works well on many/most recent discs, especially if you use it with RipIt4Me, based on my experience.

If a disc won't work with DVD Decrypter, it will balk almost immediately and let you know you need to move on to other options.

No,it would not install period. I run AnyDVD so DVDDecrypter has no problem ripping any DVD,old or new. While AnyDVD could rip DVD's,I happen to prefer DVDDecrypter's interface.
