    Hi,

I accidentally formatted an SD card I shot some footage on with a Canon 6D.

I recovered the files fine but they are all corrupt. They play black with static. I used your tool to fix the files but they are extremely jittery and not usable. I did the test to see if the 6D is supported with a clean file and it also came out jittery.

It's strange because since it supports the 7d and 5d it should the 6d but it seems that it doesn't.

Are there any plans to add support for the 6D? I am in a real predicament here! Thanks!

It's not uncommon for data recovery software to restore "corrupt" files. And if I understood the first post correctly, you recorded new material on the SD after it was formatted. So most/all of the original data is gone.

Actually you didn't understand correctly. I would never record more data over a formatted card before attempting recovery. Card is unused after format. Also, I have never had recovery software recover corrupt files except for this one time with 6D footage. And, the data is not gone. All of the files and their data are there they just play black with static. The video repair tool mentioned above recovers them but they play jittery. As I understand it is because this app does not support the 6D, which they have offered to add. Hoping for the best.

    Sorry that I misunderstood.

But IF the files recovered properly, they wouldn't need to be repaired. And regardless of your experience with recovery, my initial comments still stand. I have first hand experience and it's referenced in another topic I was just reading: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/372669-Need-to-repair-a-deleted-and-recovered-GoPro...video-Will-pay

As noted in that topic, if you still have the SD card, attempt recovery again using a different program. I've had the best luck with EaseUs Data Recovery. There is also the free tool Test Disk and numerous other options.
