Is the ANY file important? When I rip a blu-ray disc using AnyDVD HD it only rips the BDMV and the CERTIFICATE folders with the contents and the ANY file never rips with them. This is why I'm wondering if the ANY folder is important.

    Thanks.

  2. The name is a hint, it is named by AnyDVD, that folder is named AACS if ANYDVD is not decrypting in the backgroung. As soon you copy BD to hardisc , you do not need that folder. They are not part of BD structure.

Same disc.inf file, if that file is not present, I knew AnyDVD is not active. That was my assumption, I use to write some codes, so I used to use this, checking if decrypting of disc was active.

That is what I think of it. But I do not do what you are trying to do - rip and make BD disc again. Never tried what you do. In theory you just do not need it. But BD players are watchdogs for Hollywood, so if "their" firmwares" ever decide that this is "their" movie and that movie should be encrypted, they might set your house on fire or something.

  3. DVDFabPasskey does the same thing, it creates a FAB folder. You don't need it.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
