I am a newbie so I hope this is alright to cross post because I feel like I'm bumbling around in the dark with no clue what I'm doing...

First of all, hello everyone. I'm new here and having trouble trying to figure things out. I got Firefox downloader thinking that would be what I needed, but of course my life is never that easy.

Apparently, if there are ads at the begining of the videos, Firefox will only grab them and not the video itself. Is there any way around that and if so how?

Or if not, what is a simple, preferably free way to get the videos I want? Also? As I said in a previous post, I'm not technilogically inclined so if you could keep your explanations to words of one or two syllibles I'd appreciate it. LOL
Seriously I'm reading through some of these posts feeling like a cow at a new gate, sigh...

Any help or advice you guys can give will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Well it is not ok to cross-post. Site rule violation No 1
Neither is it ok to discuss downloading rented/subscription videos. Site rule violation No 2.

    Other than that. Welcome !

Depends on what "videos" you are trying to download.

Pretty much anything that can legally downloaded, will have a standard download link which you simply click and the file downloads to your PC. If you are referring to streaming media, most of that content is not legally obtained.

So a source would be helpful so that we know exactly what you are trying to do.
