Apple has some streamable videos for stuff like their Apple Music Festival (applemusic.com/festival) that they did recently. While playing a video I used Wireshark to see the m3u8 playlist files and cooresponding .ts files that iTunes was streaming and the cookie that iTunes was using to stream the ts files.
I put together a Node.js script that fetches all the .ts files for a live show (~600 .ts files). The script appears to download and write the files properly to my PC. They average about 5mb each. However I can't seem to play them. I've tried Media Player, VLC, etc. They just don't seem to play.
Is there any trick to getting them to play? Is there some way to verify or validate that they are actually .ts files and that I didn't screw up writing them in my program?
