I am using a HDMI cable to my Sony TV. When outputted to the TV, I notice that the outside of the screen (from how it is projected from the laptop) isn't fit to scale. I am using Win7 and 1/4 of the bottom taskbar is coveredw ith the date being covered. My current resolution is 1366 x 768. I tried changing different resolutions but get the same result. All 4 sides of the screen is semi cut off so its not a full 1:1 ratio from laptop to tv screen. Any help?

Verify the video setup of the TV. Most TV's have options to format the input and even "zoom".
After you confirm the TV configuration, most video drivers have options to configure the output for the screen (ie: overscan, as noted above).Google is your Friend
