  5. After you rip the dvd, you have to run the vob files thru dvd2avi, then frameserve into TMPEG to make a VCD with Nero.

no you have to encode the vob files to mpeg and then use what ever burning softwhere you use to make a dvd (you have to RE-code the files into a nonencripted format) basicly what you said without burning the vcd
Static is in the minds and hearts of all mankind the sad part is... that we never fully comprehend the concept that is static.

  9. Have you followed the guides? Start with a really short easy movie to get the hang of it.

    Here's how I do it:
    1) DVDDecrypter to HD
    2) IfoEdit open the movie .ifo file (for the main movie)
    3) Select the "VOB" button under the menu button
    4) Select all options but the top one and split DVD
    5) Hit strip button and select one sound track and one language
    6) Hit okay or whatever button is there and select the VOB-ID's you need
    7) Let it run for a bit and then close Ifoedit
    8) Open IFOedit, load the new Video_TS file you created and select GET VTS sectors
    9) Press PlayDVD or DVDPlay
    10) If it works okay, you can try the video_ts in powerDVD 4.0
    11) If that's good then burn it in Nero 5.5.7.8+

If you ripped the DVD properly, then you can just move these files back onto a DVD-R using NERO (use version 5.5.8.0 - it has a DVD-Video template). The DVD-R you are trying to make has to have the video files in a directory named VIDEO_TS. Also, set NERO to be ISO9660 compliant (don't use Joliet file naming extentions).

I'm assuming that you have ripped properly... will any of the VOBs play with Windows Media Player? If not, then you need to read how to rip properly.
