    Hi all,

I have an Acura MDX, and the SUV has an awesome audio system. It does play the DVD-A format disks.
The car also has an option to connect via the USB, and i've tried transfering a few FLAC files to the flashdrive and connecting to the car, but unfortunately it doesnt recognize the songs in the flashdrive.
I was wondering if there is a way to copy/convert these flac files to DVD-A format to be played into the car through the DVD Disc burnt in that format?
I was looking at HD-Audio Solo Ultra v4.4, and downloaded the trial copy, tried creating a project from the flac files, and burning one dvd, but all i hear is static now.
Is there any other option in this day and age of hi-tech gadgets and softwares? I am sure there should be other softwares as well.

Thanks for your reply. But thats not going to be 5.1 channel right?

I think the most important thing to do is to find out exactly what type of "files" this Acura unit plays.

  7. If this is DVD Audio compliant then 5.1, up to 24 bit, up to 96ksps should be supported (LPCM and MLP).
From car perspective anything higher than 48ksps, 16 bit (with correct noiseshaping) seem to be overkill.

I use this software. Have for years. It works perfectly...never had playability issues. I suspect your car audio player has an issue.

You're going to have to provide a LOT more details if you want any help. This is basically how your post looks to us:

I did something. It didn't work. Why?

You should tell what type and brand of disc you burned to and what format your output is in.

More possible bad news for you. This article from 2 years says that the MDX does NOT support DVD-A:

    http://acurazine.com/forums/3g-mdx-discussion-2014-414/no-dvd-audio-support-new-mdx-if...t-back-890284/

So you're basically either arguing that you've got an older one that does, which you failed to mention, or you're just assuming your new one does because it may have supported this in the past. Acura's best audio system for the MDX makes no claim to support DVD-A:

    http://www.acura.com/Features.aspx?model=MDX&modelYear=2016&context=Audio+_+Navigation...m_audio_system

At this point I think we're going to need a lot more info on what exactly you did and why you are convinced that your car should play this or we're just wasting our time.
