I am wondering what kind of results will the family that are living in my home ... which I want to move out ... will experience because I changed the power output settings inside the U-Verse modem.
Output was 200mw ... it is now 25 mw.
I for awhile did have a cable going to the laptop in their room ... but whatever they were doing ... was sucking up my bandwidth. So ... I unplugged it.
So they are back to using wi fi.
They told me recently they are using ... Netflix ... to watch stuff.
But to drop the WI FI connection to ... 25mw ... from 200mw .... will this create some unhappy thoughts and this give them another reason to move ... I have given them a 30 day eviction ... 24 hours ago
Or shall I just go back into settings and just disable completely and play stupid ... geez ... golly ... I don't know ... i'll have to call ... AT&T and find out.

Based on what you wrote, I would bet good money that NOTHING you do that is legal is going to get them out of the house any quicker than they are willing to leave. You might be surprised at what people will put up with that you are terrible and awful and unacceptable and to them is no big deal. I'd suspect that they really will not care as much as you think if their internet completely vanishes.
I can't speak to what your obligations are. If you offered them internet as part of the contract they signed, you would be breaking that to deliberately turn it off. I don't know what California law is, so be sure that you have done whatever is legally required to evict them. State laws are highly biased towards renters for good reason because some landlords are absolutely despicable, so you have to dot all your Is and cross all your Ts in filing eviction notices. Be sure you do what is legally required and not what some non-lawyer dude you know socially told you to do that he pulled out of his rear. If you do anything that is not exactly to the letter of the law, you may wind up in a world of hurt where the eviction is delayed for a long time. Heck, I've read about cases where nobody, not judges, not police, not anybody, questioned that a tenant needed to go but the law is so strict to protect tenants that it can take months to evict even squatters who are staying illegally in houses. -

They are not that computer savvy to see this post ... they are two adults and a 4 year old and a 9 year old. They stay inside the larger bedroom and only come out to use bathroom and or kitchen ... contract ... nope ... no contract ... just trying to be nice person ... all this began just before ... thanksgiving ... he was supposed to at least ... pay 50 bucks on the electric bill ... they also bummed 20 bucks from me to get their mail from the hotel manager ... he supposedly keeping their mail and wanted 20 bucks to give it to them ... I talked to hotel manager ... yesterday ... and he denied that took place ... my ex-wife ... married many moons ago ... cleans the rooms there ... she is the one who told me they needed help ... oh golly ... I wont listen to her suggestions anymore ... should have remembered the reasons why we ... split up in the first place.
A woman at our government center helped with the eviction paperwork and she too told me all the things they can legally bitch about ... cut the power cord from washer and dryer ... refrigerator ... etc ... etc ... but I've received no funds from them ... my landlord co-workers will get really pissed off at me if I sub-let the bedroom ... ex-wife was here and on the lease but she moved out ... she wouldn't pay her share and she gracefully did move out ... -
But anyways ... having a WI FI connection ... dropping to 25mw ... from 200mw .... would that mess up their ability to watch ... streaming movies ...

In the dire circumstances you mention, I am 99.99% sure that they would rather have a cheap roof over their heads and live without streaming than go to a place that has streaming but they can't pay for it. If your account is accurate, you can probably cut the streaming off all together from a legal standpoint, but I really don't think it will make them leave.
As far as your help in filling out the eviction paperwork goes, it MAY be that you got correct and good help, but again, the law is heavily weighted in favor of tenants because they are at the mercy of the landlord and what you THINK will happen may not be what happens at all. I've known of cases where people were in homes ILLEGALLY and the law still took a long time to get them out even though nobody in the whole process ever thought that the people had a legal right to be there. Since you have a landlord for the place, I want to warn you that it may be that your landlord needs to file the eviction notice against them and you may not have the legal standing to do so. Your paperwork may trick them and they may move out within 30 days because they don't know their rights, but I can easily see how this can horribly go wrong for you. I'm not a lawyer but my best friend is (we go back 30 years) and he's taught me a lot about the law over the years so when I warn you that there is a potential here for this to not go the way you think, you should consider it carefully.
I'm sorry but I don't know enough about wireless to be able to comment on what you are trying to accomplish with the change. -
Unless I'm mistaken, changing the power simply affects the range. If they can connect, they can stream.
