  1. Hi,

I was wondering if rather than doing an IVTC on a DVD rip source (Since sometimes it dosn't work all that well), if its possible to just rip the movie like nomal and burn it as interlaced? If so, would I simply encode the movie the same, but in Tmpgenc, select "Interaced" rather than pulldown when playback?

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.

  2. um...something similar...so basically forced film off in dvd2avi (i assume u know that)..then u can use the NTSC template (not NTSC FILM template)

if you don't wanna use that template or have another template u can modify, in the video tab, check "interlaced" and uncheck "3:2 pulldown"...in the advanced tab, the source should be interlaced

also, field order is espcially important if u gonna watch on TV (if you use IVTC or your output video is interlaced, as mentioned above), if u mess up the field order, watching it on TV will make the video jumpy

best bet is to encode a sample, burn it on cd-rw, test it
