    I just recently decided that I've wanted to record let's plays for youtube. I have dxtory software, which I use to record it. I record the videos and then I watch them in media player, and everything is working fine (The video is good, the game sound and good, and my voice is good) then, I put the videos into an editing software (movie maker, I tried them in a different one also. I don't remeber the other one I tried.) Everytime, with every editor I try, when I put them into the editor and watch the video, the voice is gone. Everything else is the same, just my voice isn't there. I tried extracting the audio, but it just extracted the game sound and those files were missing my voice. Basically, I need to be able to edit my videos and have my voice be present. Can anyone PLEASE help me with this? It's been happening for a few days and I'm very frustrated. I hope it's an easy fix

    One thread is enough! I deleted your other EXACT same threads.

    What video codec? Use mediainfo if you have no idea.

    Sorry about the multiple threads, I wasn't sure which category it should belong to. I'm using the dxtory video codec. I can hear my voice when I watch the file in media player, it's when I put it into an editing software that I cannot hear the voice.

    First guess is that you have several audio channels and your editor didn't select all of them. Use MediaInfo and post the info here from the 'tree' view. If you do have multiple audio channels, you might have to down mix them to stereo or mono before editing or use a different editor. Maybe AVIDemux.

  6. Open the AVI file with Audacity with FFMPEG & LAME libaries installed.
    Use "Tracks -> Stereo Tracks to Mono" for each track.
    Use "Arrow down (left side) -> Make Stereo Track"
    "File -> Export -> MP3"

    Drag-drop the AVI file on YAMB
    Deselect audio tracks
    Drag-drop the MP3 file from Audacity onto YAMB and press Next.
    Use the created MP4 file in Movie Maker.
