DVD to HDD assistance

I have created a DVD file, in Video and Audio TS Folders that include numerous VOB files, How can I convert or arrange the files/folders into a single VOB file that will play in the correct order from my HDD disc connected to my TV.

But if that dvd file has multiple title-sets vts01, vts02 etc... then you can not do as you propose.

According to The Standard™ VOB files shall not be larger than 1GB-2KB that's why you get multiple files.

Could you keep it simple and have one VOB file?

My bad. I mis-read what the OP wants.

From other topics I recall that the OP has a fixation about VOBs being the come-all and end-all of everything.

So what you now do is 'rip' that dvd with dvddecrypter and alter the output setting to '1 vob' or whatever it says. If your player refuses to play it then do not say that you were not warned.

I suppose I am fixated with VOBs, its all I have ever used really that I know plays fine on the HDD, What format would you chaps go for, i.e. in terms of extracting a DVD as a whole, so that it can play on my HDD connected to the USB port on my TV.

Like I said.

1. Try the rip to a single vob. If that does not play......

2. Create a single mpeg2 file using vob2mpg from the original dvd vobs

If you want an answer to your last question, we really need more info. IIRC you said these vobs are actually stored for playback on a usb stick. But your tv manual should give more guidance and what video it supports for playback. There could be a file size limit etc.

Or create an MKV file using MakeMKV (no reencoding and pretty quick). This assumes your TV can play MKVs.
