    I see a lot of region hacks for Lasonic models but not this one, which is a portable with NTSC/PAL support.

    But vendors like www.barrel-of-monkeys.com is selling what they call an "International" version, guaranteed to be code-free. For as low as $110 no less.

    Are they just enabling some region hack or did they actually mod this model?

    Just wondering if this is a good DVD player? Does it play cd-r VCDs? I heard it play SVCDs too. I just need it to really play them cause I burn allot off my computer. I have acouple DVDs though. Pleast let me know thank you very much.
