After reading the HOW TO's and forum posts, I still need to verify one thing. I'm in the process of starting to create home movies and authoring them to SVCD's. At least, that's my objective !! I have selected SF Video Factory 2.0 package to capture and edit movies. To convert, I will be using TMPGENC. If this encoder works for me, I will be signing for the TMPGENC plus in order to keep the MPEG-2 encoder past the trial period. At this moment, I'm leaning into NERO for authoring the SVCD's.
Now my question!! Both Video Factory and NERO offer plug-in's for a MPEG-2 encoder. After reading the COMPARISONS for mpeg-2 encoders it's esay to see why many people choose TMPGENC. But, do I need the mpge-2 plug-in's for video factory and NERO ???
Thanks for the help!! Any suggestions are always welcome.

you only need 1 encoder tmpgenc should be fine for your needs... what do you mean author with nero... even tho it give's you the possibility of doing a menu i wouldn't use it for anything but burning, that's what it does best.

Thanks for your reply!!
That's what I meant to say. I will use NERO for burning only.
Time to sit in front of the computer and play.
