  1. hi

sadly the registration at the avidemux forums is disabled, i dunno why, i hope you can help me here as im not very familiar with video stuff at all! only a bit.

i have some videos i wanna:

    1. convert from avi to mp4 losless if possible?
    - i chose under Video Output xVid (but which configuration? Constant Rate? Quantizer? and quality at default 20?)
    - under Audio AAC (FaaC)
    - under Output Format are 2 MP4 options, Muxer and Muxerv2

    2. i have 2 parts i wanna glue together, eg. part1 and then part2 without pause (or small 1 second maybe) to attach to part 1. is this possible with avidemux?

thanks very much ii hope you can help me !

ahhh ok thanks! 1 video i got has some subtitles, what should i choose there? cause in copy i cannot add subtitles i think?

EDIT: for one i wanted 2 parts to glue together (open part1 then append part2 i learned from youtube just now), there i used

    Video output COPY
    Audio output COPY
    Output file MP4 Muxer v2

but then an error pops up, i dunno why, it says it "MUXER Cannot Open" but in the preview i could play the video ?!?!??!?

And this is not video STREAMING. Moving you to our video conversion section.

If you want to hardcode/burn in subtitles must you choose a codes yes. I would use h264/avc video if you are making a mp4. And AAC audio.
