  1. Ok folks I'm not sure what the benefits are by following the steps that these guys provide. If you have the DVD ... why make a vcd of it? I just wanted to simply make a DivX *.AVI file of the dvd on my computer's hard drive so why can't I just, after extracting the *.vob files off the DVD, save as AVI in the program DVD2AVI and put compression as DivX 4 Low motion. ? That would help prevent qualitly loss going through Tmpegnc.. Help me out folks thanks 8) 8)

  2. Actually sorry bout that last post, kind of dumb. I didn't realize when you hit "Save AVI" it only saves the video portion, but hey, the video still came out a lot better. Is there any way I can combine AVI with WAV? Can virtual dub do that? if so then I got my quality problem fixed, but stil kind of big =\
