Does the Sony DAV-S300 play VCD's with PBC?

My DVD Player is at home, so i can't verify if it will work or not.
I know VCD's work with it fine, since i did try that before.
Now I'm trying to add chapters, they playback on the computer fine (with PBC disabled), but the chaptering only works when PBC is turned on.
Will I have the same problem on the actual DVD player?

I have that same DVD player and it will play VCD with PBC. However, it is kind of picky, it really seems to like the Sony brand of CD-R's other brands are kind of a hit and miss..
