    Version 4.37, Hdp.dll 4.3.3.0

    Issue: whenever I open a JXR image in IrfanView,
    my firewall blocks an attempt to contact one of the servers of my ISP : - /

    Maybe you should try asking this in the IrfanView support forum (https://irfanview-forum.de/forum.php) too, just in case.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Hmmmmm, very interesting, SumatraPDF 2.5.8*** has the same "feature" ,

    whereas XnView --- fortunately --- does not

    It seems the fault is not of IrfanView or SumatraPDF,
    the probable root of all evil is named «Windows Imaging Component»

    XnView's HDP decoder apparently doesn't depend on W.I.M.
