i am totally new to this - thought i would warn people before i start.
Anyway i understand that it is possible to capture a stream to you hard disk using streambox. what i need to know is is it possible to encode and convert this stream to allow playback as a vcd on a dvd player.
Is the picture quality worth while doing it. Any help or a point in the right direction would be sweet
thanks in advance

StreamBox is a excellent tool to capture streaming video's whether it be real audio/video, quicktime and asf/asx.
The tricky part I found was to convert .rm and .mov to VCD until I discovered EO Video. EO Video will let you save to avi and mpg from .rm and .mov sources and it is alot more better the tmpg and it's bogus qt plug-in.
I still use tmpg to convert my .asf files though as EO Video will not support it.
Hope this helps you out.
