    I want to buy the child's play dvd's but they were banned in the UK. However, i heard that apparently regions 2 & 4 are like the same and so if i imported these moviez from Australia, will they work on my region 2 DVD standalone?
    The dvd player i have is the sony dvp-f21, anyone got a region hack for it so i can get some US dvd's?

    Discs that are marked as region 4 will not play on a region 2 player. You would have to either get a region free player or buy discs that are marked region 0, which means plays in any region.
