I got a virus. I used Malwarebytes to get rid of the virus, but my homepage still remained changed to a chinese home page. This happened on Firefox and Internet Explorer. I could not change the homepage back (Firefox> tools>options>general) (Internet Explorer>tools>internet options>general). I was always forced to the chinese home page. I am using the Firefox and Internet Explorer shortcuts on the desktop. The problem was in the Target box (right click Firefox>Properties). This is how it should look: see screenshot. However, it was like this: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" http://i.163vv.com
Deleting the
http://i.163vv.com
and clicking Apply solved the problem.

This looks like child's play, compared to getting rid of the Aartemis malware -- a browser hijacker that is sort of a rootkit / spyware hybrid. What a pain in the rear that was . . . .
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.
