hi all. i have a question. what is the best way to capture a ld? i have a dvd recorder but i dont have a capture card. would the picture come out better recorded directly to a dvd recorder or a usb capture card? if u recommend a usb capture card, which would be the best?

Just use your dvd recorder to capture at 2 hour mode,much quicker with just a bit loss in quality,most people wouldn't notice.

I was opting more towards a hauppague hd pvr only due to the fact that I want to do some side by side video comparisons of censored films.

So what the problem?
You can copy recorded DVD to PC with VOB2MPG
record with quality 1 hour per DVD and link parts in PC, if you so worry about quality
