Looks like you have a (badly-composed BTW) MicroDVD .sub file

You would have to open it in Notepad, and add the missing }s.

  3. What form shout it have then? This is how it looks like in Notepad. Correct it in the example, please.

Hmmm, perhaps that file has the wrong type of "line breaks" (Unix style, instead of DOS/Windows style).
In this case, you would need a real text editor (Notepad++, for example) for the necessary conversion...

    Code:
{716}{802} Good morning. | - Good afternoon. It is two o'clock.
{820}{895} Yeah, so? I was up at night | dancing a polka.
{925}{987} You should not have to woke me.
{988}{1095} I dreamed that my dad was here.
{1121}{1214} Did you miss your dad? | - Yes, sometimes.
{1215}{1275} Let's not think about it.
{1454}{1564} That day Pippi decided to go shopping.
{1582}{1653} She just had to find her gold coins.
{1724}{1832} Where is my suitcase? | Where's my gold coins?

  5. looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroDVD
MicroDVD subtitle files consist of multiple lines, each defining a portion of the subtitle text that must be displayed between certain given video frames. The line syntax is:

    Code:
    {start-frame}{stop-frame}Text
    and your content:
    Code:
    {75}{175} Episode 3| Pippi Goes Shopping{217}{300}She's still sleeping.{325}{400}Subtitles downloaded from www.OpenSubtitles.org

it seems like it is only missing line feeds and should look like:
    Code:
{75}{175} Episode 3| Pippi Goes Shopping
    {217}{300} She's still sleeping.
    {325}{400} Subtitles downloaded from www.OpenSubtitles.org

{1454}{1564} That day Pippi decided to go shopping.
{1582}{1653} She just had to find her gold coins.
{1724}{1832} Where is my suitcase? | Where's my gold coins?
