  1. Seen older posts for this, wondered if maybe something has come out since that's quick and simple (well, simple anyway).

I have a folder of music videos (for example) and the volumes are all over the place.

For MP3's I use MP3Gain, I can drag/drop a folder in, tell it to set everything to 95db and it sets the gain on everything using the ID tags I believe so no reencoding needed.

Not sure if can be done without reencoding/remuxing the mp4, but would like a simple drag/drop batch like MP3Gain has, and just let it run overnight if need be.

Anything like that? Vidcoder? AVIdemux? Freemake? I use these often but, mostly converting/joining/cropping, not sure if they have a batch option... AVIDemux and Vidcoder are great but, I think you have to set up file by file and queue.

  2. I hope it's easier to use than it is to find a download link for the current version.

  4. Well, I found a copy... testing it now. Made a copy of my music video folder, not messing with the originals.

Seems good, batch running a folder... but settings were a bit... vague. Stuff like quality... wasn't sure if higher/lower is better or what tuning was for the H264, though I didn't check off reencode so I assume that section doesn't do anything unless checked?

Preserve AC3 and DTS, left unchecked so, not sure if any of my vids have ac3 or dts or as a result will have the gain adjusted.

Seems a handy tool, just wish I knew a bit more about what the options were. I was expecting something like MP3 Gain... where I could simply type in 'target normal volume: 95db' and click go. I have no idea based on the options on screen, what my final volume will be.

  5. Well, seems to have worked... no idea how to set the overall volume, so a bit loud compared to my movies/tv series, but all seem to be the same volume now.
