    Mine was David Bowie.

And they were selling records and t-shirts in the parking lot.

  2. Wonder how ol' David Bowie is doing now. I haven't seen much of him lately.

First paid concert was classical music in Los Angeles Music Center.

I believe it was Michael Crawford doing Andrew Lloyd Webber stuff. It was when I was in school and sort of forced into it. It was middle school or highschool I think. It was ok but I'm not really into broadway stuff.

I think Weird Al was my first concert that I went to that I actually wanted to go see (it was the Couch Potato tour if I remember right).

Though I did see the Beach Boys at the Michigan State Fair while it was still going and that was fun of course - (don't remember how many originals were left when I saw it though).

The two that I enjoyed the most were Phil Collins on the first farewell tour and the Genesis tour in 2007 or so. Both great live and absolutely loved it.

I'd love to go see U2 live. And Bryan Adams too.

...among others. I don't remember the exact order, but I think Victor Borge was the first. My dad got him to sing happy birthday to me as I was turning ten that day.

    Michigan Jam!!!

Michigan US 131 Dragway (Martin Michigan) put on Michigan Jam which would later be known at Michigan's Woodstock. Wolf Man Jack was the MC. Bands: Bob Seger, Heart, Nazareth, Little River Band, etc.

    July 2, 1977, I was 13 years old!!

I have 3 older brothers, 10, 11 & 12 years older than me so I was exposed to a lot of things way earlier than most kids of my same age.
    LOL!!

I remember they had to fly in Bob Seger by helicopter because of the traffic being backed up on the highway.
Probably other bands as well ?

My second concert was at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo Michigan, Nazareth - Fools Circle, Blackfoot - Tomcattin & some band called Marcie, (marsay)
    in 1983!!
Maybe 81 or 82... that was a loooong time ago for me!!
    LOL!!!

The indoor one was crazy and I remember my ears rang for hours after the concert from standing about 20 feet in front of the stacks!!!
    LOL!!!

I still have all my concert ticket stubs and T-Shirts

The Pittsburgh Symphony in 1964. It was a special concert for children, and I was too young to remember what was on the program. Rock concert? Never. Not that I don't listen to that kind of music at home. I just never wanted to go see a live concert.

Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, probably '69 or '70. I played cello from 5th to 9th grade and my parents got me private lessons with a member of the GRSO.

Pink Floyd "Animals". Tampa,FL. Too stoned to remember much. SRO, on the field right in front of the stage. I remember huge fatties being passed around. Back then Panama Red was the favorite.

    Ahhhh.....

    Pink Floyd!!!

99.9% of bands that have ever existed or performers are "musicians" (we will not include current people like Brittany or Kayne West, beiber, etc in any sense of the word) but those guys guys were literally "Artist's"!!!
Along with a few select others.

I saw the Moody Blues at the Universal Amphitheater in 1986. Opening act was the Fixx, who were brilliant -
I'd never seen or heard of them before. The Moodies put on quite a show, but there seemed to be some sound issues,
    too loud, distortion, etc.
