  1. What's up,...

Does anyone have any opinion on or know about

the quality of Gigastorage Cd-r's (...silver top,

    red writing...).Are they reliable..i.e. play

in dvd players with cd-r support.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I know nothing about reliability, but I heard you need, first of all, a CD-R/W drive that is capable of writing on such media...

  3. I got some of them. by the way, they're 700mb, not 1000mb, like the name might imply.

don't know if they work. I'm new to this. I've tried a few so far. the last one seemed like it should've worked (the mpg file played fine on WinDVD before I burned it onto disc), but it didn't.

Basically, all I can say is that I have some, and they may or may not work. Really, I think I just wasted my time writing this, and your time for reading it. Atleast I responded though!

  4. I have used them many times and I must say they are by far a good deal for the money, I have also read on the web that they are the best discs for over burning, I have heard that they can take up to 800mb of data on a 700mb cd I mean data not vcd

  5. I'm on my second 100 disc spindle and haven't had any problems except that if your using them for storing video that you want to watch on your PC then I'd recommend burning at a slower speed (4x or 2x is safe) cause when i burn at 6x if I try to play in window media player it gets really choppy as if its having a hard time reading the disc. But as far as playstation games and vcd's and everything else they are a great deal at $0.50 a piece canadian.
