Hey All,
I've been ripping DVDs for years on my PC, but this year I switched to a Macbook Pro.
What software would you suggest to rip DVDs? I was previously using a combination of DVDFab to rip the disc, DGIndex to convert the dvd files to d2v / audio file, and MeGUI to convert the d2v to an avisynth script so I could edit the AVI file in Premier Pro.
I am still editing with Adobe CS5 (premier, after effects, etc.)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can rip with dvdfab for mac. Then convert to some editor friendly format with mpeg streamclip.

Do I need certain plugins or settings for Mpeg streamclip?

Rip with Handbrake. You'll also need VLC installed (which takes care of the decryption duties automatically when you use Handbrake). As you've expressed a desire to do subsequent editing, use a higher bitrate than otherwise req'd. MPEG Streamclip will then handle converting the H264/AAC (in MP4 or M4V container) to a less-compressed format. Apple Intermediate Codec works well in Apple's NLE apps. There should be another that Premier can handle if AIC isn't compatible.

MPEG Streamclip needs the QuickTime 7 MPEG-2 decoder component in order to display MPEG-2 content and to convert from MPEG-2 (as used on DVDs). Read the section “Lion/Mountain Lion and MPEG-2 Playback Component” on the MPEG Streamclip website.
