Using a Canon XA 10
Recordings have a heavy audio "buzz"
Never Had this problem before
Using a external mic (Audio-Technica AT8022 X/Y Stereo Microphone) plugged into 3.5mm plug
Normally shoot live music and had no problems (Just shot some day before no problem), this situation was an interview situation in an office space with florescent lighting (My assumption the problem), is there a setting for audio for this situation I should have done to avoid this?

It could be the fluorescents, or some other kind of RF interference. What I don't get is why (and how) are you using a 3.5mm plug when you've got a mic and camera that can handle balanced xlr connectors and shielded cables? You're not utilizing the tools you already have.

Was just trying to do quick, while holding the Camera and the XLR connecter set up has 5' cables which makes it bulky. Also didn't think I needed it in stereo being it was a single person speaking.
Do you think using the XLR connection would eliminate it?
Thanks!
