Hello,
I wanted to see what the best process is to free up an SD Card. I opened up the drive on my computer, copied and pasted the whole folder called Private to keep the whole AVCHD root structure. Is that the best way to do it and then delete everything from the SD card? I have heard about reformatting the SD card, but not sure if this is necessary. And this may seem like a silly question but can I rename the Private folder? I don't want 100 folders called Private on my HD. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You shouldn't need to reformat the SD card. Just delete the files and record new ones. You should be able to name the folder anything you want, unless the recording software/hardware names it automatically. Even so, when you transfer it to your PC, rename it then.
