Samsung TV and BLu Ray question

I have a Samsung LCD series 3 360/361 and a Samsung Blu ray player

My question is, my TV remote no longer response to the tv as from last night after I turned everything off, blu ray remote seems to override my tv remote.

How can I get my tv remote back working I unplug everything this morning and left it for a few hours, even took out the batteries and held power button down for 60secs and still nothing

I just checked my sony bluray manual and there is a "linked to tv" setting in the menu system (for the bravia sync for sony tvs - I don't have a sony tv but this is probably the same setup you have for the samsung family of electronics). Chances are you have a similar option for your samsung setup. Go into your bluray player and look for the system setting menus and go to any remote or tv control options. Unselect it or select reset or whatever it tells you so you can revert to independent remote control functions.

Is there a 'Sync Menu' button on the tv remote ?. If so, press it and there should be an option such as 'Return to Tv'

thank you both for ur suggestions, I have tried both and still tv remote is locked up. not able to do a factory default setting on tv cause I can't use the remote.

I'll just keep trying things

Thx for the help, I contacted Samsung by email last-night and received a reply.

They asked to perform a test take a camera or something with a screen and place the tv remote 6-10 inchs away from the camera and you should see the lights of the remote on the camera display if not there the remote is broken, well tried my remote and a few others the test does work but my remote doesn't be replacing the remote when I can.
