FFMPEG -dump doesnt give me the full stream (Missing teletext)

Hi all.
I work at a news station, and we have a local rtp stream, lets say its 1.1.1.1, when i receive the stream directly in VLC i can turn on teletext with no problem, but when i use vlc to save the stream, or even using this command: ffmpeg -dump -i rtp://1.1.1.1:5500, i can playback the video, but the teletext info seams gone (I cannot turn it on in VLC).

I really need to save the material (video and teletext), but i cant seam to get any further.
Any help would be appreciated.

Never tried this, but if you compile ffmpeg yourself (http://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/ticket/2223) might be interesting, other than that I would try mplayer and it's "-dumpstream" option
