WIth ffdshow can you add several filters. It can be used with many software players.

Or use a custom avisynth script and play it with for example potplayer.

  3. SMPlayer has most of that. PotPlayer and MPCHC too.

  4. Thanks I'll take a look at those. I actually use MPC-HC already but I can't see where it can do the things I mentioned in the OP?

  5. MPCHC:
Play -> Shaders -> Select Shaders
View -> Options -> Miscellaneous -> Color Controls
View -> Options -> Internal Filters -> Audio Switcher -> Normalize

No hiss reduction though. You could always use the system's graphic equalizer if you have one.

  6. Is there no media player that has hiss reduction?

If not, where would I find the graphic equalizer and what setting should I adjust to remove hiss?

  7. You might find a graphic equalizer in the sound card's setup applet. For example, with RealTek drivers:

From what I've seen of your videos they typically have VHS hiss. Turn down the 4K and higher bands.

SMPlayer has a built in graphics EQ. Audio -> Equalizer.
