    I'm assuming I need the remote to be able to access the setup menus.

    Anything cheaper than the $11.50 Chinese eBay listing?

    Do you have a universal remote sitting around the house? That might work once you select the right device code.

    Someone else's Greenbrier remote came with a tiny printed manual which they scanned. The device code for this recorder is 121.

    Hitting Menu just gave me the slashed-circle notifier but hitting Video came up with the menu I wanted, to turn off Line-In NR.

    Argh. No Setup button, so I can't adjust the Black Level.

    I also have an Acoustic Research ARRX18G that I got on clearance, but naturally the EZ-RC software required to set it up has disappeared from their website and I can't find it anywhere else.
