How large a SD card will a Canon HF M50 camera take? I use 32GB. Cards go up to 128.
    Thanks

Thank you for contacting Canon product support regarding your VIXIA HF M50.

Your camcorder is compatible with any capacity of SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. The largest card currently commercially available is 128GB, which your camera will accept. Because your camera also takes high definition video, we would recommend you purchase a card that is at least Class 6 or higher. These cards are widely available at nearly any retailer that sells consumer electronics.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance with your HF M50. Thank you for choosing Canon.

    Sincerely,

Just got a new HF M500. I can't figure out how to turn off all of the info displayed on the touchscreen while in operation. Previous Vixia cams had a "Display Info" button that would toggle all of the info icons on or off. Hope this function is still available since shooting with all that garbage on the screen is confusing. And yes, I did RTFM!

  6. Just another reason why I hate touchscreens on cameras.

    TreeTops,
    Was looking for a solution.

Am hoping the answer isn't Canon chose to display all that info garbage on the touchscreen all the time in order to make using the cam so frustrating I'd move to another more expensive model.

  8. I just couldn't help with a decent answer. Sorry. There must be a way to clear the LCD screen. I guess you looked in the manual? Maybe try the canon site and ask them? Interesting Google search says that most people complain that info turns off too soon and they get a blank screen.

Yeah, you should be able to turn that off. Hope that helps.
