Canon makes a waterproof case for underwater video recording, Canon WP-V1. It says that it is designed for the HF-20 and HF-200 HD camcorders. I own an earlier version of the HF-20, the HF-10. The main difference that I notice is that my version has a 16 GB internal flash memory drive, and the HF-20 has a 32 GB drive. There is also some difference in the sensor, etc.

My question is whether the WP-V1 will work with the HF-10? Does anybody have any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Download the manuals for the housing and both the cams. Look at the physical specs--compare dimensions, placement of controls, etc. That will determine whether the housing will work with it.

    My guess is it will.

Of course, to be on the safe side, I would suggest you go to a local/regional dealer of Canon stuff and try it on for size first.
