  1. Which one would you get? Sachtler FSB-6 or Ace L (new one with the carbon sticks) - both 13LB max weight???
They have the same max weigh limit. Ace is slightly lighter which I
prefer because I work with my wife. I don't mind that it is plastic. The
Ace is around $800-$950. The FSB is slighly more expensive. I would use
    it with a Nikon D4 + 70-200 2.8 VR + audio.
Which one should I get? It seems to me that the ACE is the same for less.... What do you think?

  2. Personally, Oīd prefer tthe FSB-6īleg arrangement, even if it weights more. Itīs probably a subjective opinion, but I donīt trust too much the single tube leg style, feels a little "shaky" to me. But well, youīre talking Sachtler here, it should be sturdy enough if you decide to go for it.

I agree with julitomg for exactly the same reasons. Do look at Miller, Cartoni, O'Connor or Manfrotto to see what the other big players have as alternatives (assuming same specs), but what you've selected looks good. If you intend to seriously continue with shooting high-quality stuff, you won't regret getting the Sachtler.

  6. I have looked around. I would rule out Cartoni because people say it is not as smooth as the Sachtler and Vinten, Millers unless they cost 3k and up.
I kind of like the price range of the Ace L from Sachtler. What do you think?
