Is the disc protected by Cinavia? PowerDVD 12 and PowerDVD 13 are designed to detect it and won't play the audio after the first 20 minutes when playing a file made from a ripped copy of the movie, or a ripped copy of the move burned to a new disc. For what it is worth, all current versions of licensed software Blu-ray players do the same. If you plan to rip your original discs to .mkv files, just use a free player like Media Player Classic Home Cinema, or VLC or Pot Player, etc.
