    i have a swann mini sports cam which saves to SD. some tines no matter how charged it is it seems to randomly turn off. normily i will just delete the corrupt .AVI file. but today i got some great recording that are part of the "corrupt" file. i know there is data because its file size is 1.3gbs. i believe only a few seconds before i went to turn it off, it did on its own and dint finalize the .avi. ive tried using a few fixers but non seem to work any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi cmy310,

    You could try (if not done yet) to open the avi file using VLC. It is able to recreate the indexing inside the avi file making it playable. If that does not work then you could diagnose the file using MP4repair.org. Diagnose is free and it's done in your browser, meaning that nothing is installed on your computer. Best of luck!
