A commercial program like Replay Video Capture should be able to do this.

If you want a free program, you can try something like Stream Transport but my guess is that none of the free programs will work. However, if others know differently and do know of free programs that work for this, they'll post in the thread.

Free programs usually don't work for very long because Adobe goes to great extents to make it difficult to record their streaming video. As soon as software gets written to download their videos they change the protocols -- that's why Flash is updated so often. People who write free downloaders get tired of keeping up with Adobe and abandon their projects after a while. Only people that are getting paid will bother to keep up.

2 questions:

lets say I have copied a file for a football match to my hard drive, its 2 hours and i want to cut parts of the file and make a "highlights of the game" file, what is the best app for this?


since I have to pay for Replay Video Capture do u know if there is a better paid software than Replay Video Capture??? I dont want to buy Replay Video Capture and a week later find out there was a better application, i dont mind if its more expensive

Replay Video Capture just captures the stream shown on your computer. For editing that captured video you will need a video editing program. Some of the experts here like Sony Vegas and Sony Movie Studio. For just cutting out parts, there are free editors that will do that. Check out the tools section on the left.
